Registration is closed for this event
Emily Barker's new album, Sweet Kind of Blue was made in the summer of 2016 at Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis, Tennessee. Come along to this special event, the night before the album is officially released, to hear Emily talk about her time in Memphis, show some footage of the recording made at the incredible analogue studio designed by Sam Phillips himself, tell some of the stories behind the songs, and then perform them with her Stroud-based band featuring Pete Roe (keys and guitars), Rob Pemberton (drums) and Lukas Drinkwater (bass). There'll be Memphis-style cuisine and drinks available to munch and sip throughout, and a DJ set by Sean Rowe celebrating the music that has come from one of the world's most musical cities.
