Admin Help - Updating Festival Application Forms

Updating the previous years Festival Application forms for the next year is not quite as simple s it may first appear and it is easy to forget to do something obvious.

The individual items that may require updating are

  • The Dates.
  • The Prices
  • The Images, Logos and Banners
  • Any downloadable guidance forms such as 'Advertising Guidelines, 'Image Guidelines' etc
  • Any auto-response emails.
  • Any bulk mailing headers and footers

Both Open Studios and Festival events are run by as CiviCRM 'Events'. You can manage 'Events' here

Note that is not the same thing  as 'Drupal Events'

The structure of the forms is quite complicated as there are a lot of fill-in fields and can be difficult to understand at first.

The top level is the standard form that is generated when a new event is created in CiviCRM. The 'Online Registration' tab contains 'Profiles' which are really only custom sets of fields. Some fields such as 'First Name', 'last Name' are standard filds that can easily be added to a profile. Other fields are custom fields which have to be created by the administrators. The 'Fees' tab contains a special group of fields called 'Price Sets'.
